The Women's Desperate for Jesus Conference Was A Success!
I have finally had a chance to come up for air – LOL! The Women’s Desperate for Jesus Conference was Saturday, July 23rd and it was simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I truly had an amazing experience. I’d like to personally thank everyone one of you that have stopped by our table during the conference. I have to say, I made some great connections while at the conference. For those that couldn’t attend, I thank you for your well wishes and prayers I received in my inbox, it was greatly appreciated.
There were over 3,500 women at this conference! This is actually my first major vending event. I did manage to peek in on Priscilla Shirer and Beth Moore speaking, but didn’t get a chance to peek in on the others, I heard it was absolutely phenomenal (click the video to get a snippet of what I heard at the conference). Other vending events have been on a much smaller scale, so this was a great teaching moment for me. The biggest lesson I learned was time management. For three weeks leading up to the conference I averaged three to four hours of sleep on a nightly basis on top of maintaining my 9 to 5. However, I discovered during the process that there were some things I could have already had in place that would have allowed me to get more rest. Prioritizing and time management as an entrepreneur is key; I knowpeople say “team no sleep”, but I declare that’s not a team I desire to be on – LOL! Even Jesus knew when to rest, so what makes me think I don’t need to do the same. Now I have reactivated my time management skills as to not drain myself for any event large or small that’s on the horizon.
On Sunday, July 24th, I attended Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship morning worship service. Pastor Tony Evans preached and it was an amazing message and a bonus was after service there was a welcome reception for first time visitors. That was truly a nice touch to meet other first time visitors and greet Pastor Tony Evans himself.
So, I encourage you to continue to press on, according to Philippians 3:14, NIV to the vision God has given you.. I’m sure you’ve heard many people say, “where there’s vision, God provides provision”. I would like to share a few scriptures below that talks about, “God’s provision”:
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert”, Isaiah 43:19, KJV
The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing, Psalms 34:10, NIV
I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it, Psalms 81:10, NIV
Please don’t let another day go by without putting action to what it is God has led you to do. Think about like this, if you “wait until”…..whatever that “until” is, time is going to pass you by anyway, so what are you waiting for? Why sit back and see everyone else move forward in their purpose and vision God gave them? It’s time to move your feet. Please hit that like button below if this resonates with you and don’t forget to leave a comment and share.
