Create Blessing/Donation Bags Easily! Mental Health Awareness Month
May is in full swing and if you did not know it's also Mental Health Awareness Month. Taking charge and taking care of your mental heath is definitely an individualized approach. It means different things to different people. If you did not know May is Mental Health Awareness Month and you may have seen posts, articles, even the company you work for or the Church you attend address this topic in a variety of ways. Wherever you find yourself on the spectrum and how you choose to show up this month, be sure as you do it to allow yourself Grace. Sometimes we can feel overwhelmed with trying to "do it all" that we forget about ourselves. Or, perhaps you have found yourself literally doing it all. Please know, it's okay to ask for help or in some circumstances it's simply okay to say 'No'. No, may feel hard or harsh, but at some point you have to remember your WHY. Perhaps you are someone that has found a bit more balance and have room to help others, then do so with your prescribed limitations.
In this weeks video, we are discussing "Blessing Bags" also known as donation bags, or perhaps you call them something else. These are quick bags you can create and keep with you in your vehicle. Or, if you live in Texas where the heatwave has kicked in, maybe you keep these in a bag near your doorway of your home. That way, when you do leave the house you can grab a couple on your way out.
I've teamed up with Synetta Crispin on Youtube to discuss Blessing Bags. Synetta shares with us what she puts in her bag and she also touches on Mental Health Awareness. Synetta is taking time the entire month of May to talk about Mental Health Awareness and it's impact in various aspects of your life. If you want to join in on the conversation, please head on over to the video on Youtube and leave a comment.
